People typically make payments using cash or credit cards. Some people still use checks. However a few cutting-edge folks are starting to use a new method of payment. That method is mobile billing.

Mobile billing allows you to make payments for products or services using your cell phone. There are a few different types of mobile payment options:

• Scan the phone and charge your bank account. Your phone may come enabled with an RFID chip or you may get a sticker with this chip to put on your phone. The phone can then be scanned at the point of sale. The chip is linked with your bank account. Payment is taken from the account like it would be with a debit card. You receive a receipt via text message.
• Scan the phone and charge a new account. Sometimes you do the same thing but you set up your own account with the company and that’s the account that gets charged. You then pay that bill each month.
• Charge it to the cell phone. You can make payments for some services by having the charge added to your cell phone bill. This is common when purchasing premium SMS services like daily weather updates.

My former in-laws are incredibly stubborn.  I mean, I admit that with two knee replacements, back surgery and a removed kidney between them, they have earned the right to be somewhat reclusive.  But even the doctors want them out and moving more.  Even the wife says the husband won’t get off his butt and move around enough on his two new knees. 

Anyway, no matter what you offer them to do, they don’t want to get out of the house and do it.  That goes for Thanksgiving dinner, 4^th of July fireworks on our driveway or even their grandson’s graduation.  They’ve always been that way-stubborn.  Very hard to deal with, as was their son (ha ha).

Anyway, I was thinking of trying to get them out for a little bingo and maybe some shuffleboard.  Of course, I’d have to learn how to play shuffleboard.  I don’t believe it’s that hard, though.  But I want to learn the game on my own because having them explain stuff is just impossible.  Believe me, I’ve tried having them explain card games to me.  We tried it with the game, “Hearts.”  I just couldn’t understand them at all!  So we’ll give shuffleboard a whirl and see how that works out.

Well, it is early in the morning of what is set to be a sad day.  You see, I just took a job working up North, so I need to do something with my stuff.  On one hand I could take it with me, but since they have to fly everything in, it would cost too much to take my stuff with me, so I have decided to auction it off instead.

So, starting at 9 AM, they will be auctioning off most of my possessions including my furniture, vehicles and antiques.  There is too much to list here, but needless to say we will be lucky to get through everything today.

I was able to sell the jewelry online as well as some of my action figures, but the rest we will be selling here in real life.  I was really sad when I did sell the gold jewelry and I am not looking forward to how I will be feeling tonight when most of the stuff that I have collected throughout my life is gone.

But, I should be happy that I do have a great new job, and that my housing will be provided.  It is a great opportunity and I am looking forward to the fishing.  Besides, I would have had to clean out my stuff at some point anyway and moving away is a good enough reason to do it.

If you’ve ever taken a creative writing class then you know that the single most common piece of advice for a writer to hear is that you should write what you know. In creative writing, this basically means that you draw from your own experience to create your characters. However, this advice can be applied more literally when you are writing non-fiction work. It can even be applied to writing short non-fiction works such as ebooks.

When you write an ebook, you are typically writing a short book that provides useful information to someone on a topic that they’d like to research online. When you write what you know, you provide that information without having to do a lot of research yourself. For example, if you already had to settle credit card debt in your life then you can easily write an ebook discussing debt settlement options without having to research what those are.

Writing what you know reduces the amount of effort that you put into the work but still lets you tell people what they need to know about a subject. This is important because ebooks don’t pay writers as well as published print books do. Because of that, you don’t want to take up a lot of time writing them. Nevertheless, you don’t want to get known as an author who puts out bad information so you should only write what you know.
