My former in-laws are incredibly stubborn.  I mean, I admit that with two knee replacements, back surgery and a removed kidney between them, they have earned the right to be somewhat reclusive.  But even the doctors want them out and moving more.  Even the wife says the husband won’t get off his butt and move around enough on his two new knees.

Anyway, no matter what you offer them to do, they don’t want to get out of the house and do it.  That goes for Thanksgiving dinner, 4th of July fireworks on our driveway or even their grandson’s graduation.  They’ve always been that way-stubborn.  Very hard to deal with, as was their son (ha ha).

Anyway, I was thinking of trying to get them out for a little bingo and maybe some shuffleboard.  Of course, I’d have to learn how to play shuffleboard.  I don’t believe it’s that hard, though.  But I want to learn the game on my own because having them explain stuff is just impossible.  Believe me, I’ve tried having them explain card games to me.  We tried it with the game, “Hearts.”  I just couldn’t understand them at all!  So we’ll give shuffleboard a whirl and see how that works out.
